About The Landing at The Ritz Reynolds Lake Oconee

The original golf course built at Lake Oconee, The Landing made its landmark debut in 1986, setting the stage for what has become a premier golf destination. The par-72 course, which plays to a maximum of 7,048 yards, was designed by award-winning architect Bob Cupp, who directed a major renovation that was unveiled in spring 2013. It features a variety of holes that wind through naturally wooded areas and rolling hills, making the course enjoyable for players of all levels. Three holes wrap dramatically along the shoreline while the green settings and shot values make this one of the premium tests of golf on Lake Oconee. While leaving the original routing intact, Cupp's renovation integrated a new fairway on the par-4 15th hole. Bunkering has been repositioned throughout the course to make it more receptive, as well as to enhance the layout's strategic challenge. Home of the 2008 PGA Professional National Championship, The Landing's new features also include completely redesigned and expanded tee areas, an innovative new drainage system for the bunkers, and the introduction of ornamental grasses to revive the design's original Scottish-highlands character.
